Tooth and Tail from developer Pocketwatch Games offers a world where squirrels fight for freedom and badgers wield mini-guns. But in a way that's both fun and thematically rich. Think George Orwell's Animal Farm and you get the idea. Battles aren't turn-based but real-time, with quick missions that present both a challenge and a great way to team up with another player. Our full review!

And yep, I realise that headline is a mouthful, but so is attempting to explain this unique and awesome gaming concept. But here goes: You know all those taverns, inns and pubs you visit in high fantasy RPGs to buy items from, rest in or, more importantly, gain information that usually leads to new quests? Well, Epic Tavern is a game where you run one of those establishments, dishing out quests, information and items to the heroes who walk through your tavern door.

After the excellent Total War: Warhammer we weren't sure what exactly a sequel could offer. Turns out, a lot. New environments, an expanded and impressively detailed campaign map, and a new look at the Warhammer universe that was only hinted at in the original. Yeah, we can't wait to play this.

So much so that based on this new trailer, and the super epic last one, I may just have to play this. Driving ex-Russian military trucks that at one stage transported nukes through mountains is a cool enough premise. But a narrator with a thick American accent that somehow ends up quoting his Russian grandmother later on? What. Is. Going. On?

Ahh the PC Open Beta of a big AAA release, a thing that rarely occurs at the same time as its console counterpart. But, always a great way to see just how well a modern FPS stacks-up both visually and in terms of combat feel. Mouse, keyboard, a kick-ass GPU. Today Activision and Sledgehammer Games have confirmed that the the Call of Duty: WWII PC Open Beta will be available to play from September 29 to October 2 PST via Steam.

Dubbed a 'Gameplay Trailer' what we see here sits clearly on the cinematic side of things, but if all of this incredible footage is taken from in-game in-engine cinematic sequences then, well, wow. We already know that the scope of the game is huge, so this new look at the mysterious Order of the Ancients just cements how big this new Assassin's Creed is going to be.

Yeah, in a surprising move the long-in-the-works PvP mode for Ghost Recon Wildlands will be coming to all platforms next week as a standalone free-to-play Open Beta on PS4, Xbox One, and PC - running from September 21 to 25. Called Ghost War, the PvP mode will come to the core game as a free update later this year, but of course you'll actually need to own the game to play it at that point.

Only because we're still waiting patiently for the return of the Virtual Console. But, arcade accurate ports of Nintendo classics like Mario Bros., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, and Punch-Out! sound pretty good. With Mario Bros. set to make its debut later this month on September 27.

As far as Zelda-like games go, Okami from Capcom is definitely one of the good ones. Whilst featuring an awesome art style. Originally released in 2007 for the PlayStation 2 and then the following year for Wii, a HD remaster did make it's way to the PlayStation 3 in 2012. But this new version, enhanced for modern hardware, will also support 4K for Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and PC.
