In that the image appearing over at Chiphell is said to be from an early test run of the upcoming Founders Edition or internal versions of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards. A card that has yet to be officially announced, nor has this image been confirmed as legit. It also hasn't been revealed to be a fake either, so it's worth taking a look at.

Especially when paired alongside artist renders that give the new double-sided fan look their proper showing. The photo which presumably showcases the RTX 3080 isn't all that flattering - but highlights a bold new direction when it comes to both look and cooling for NVIDIA.

With the next-generation of RTX running on NVIDIA's 7nm Ampere technology there are rumours out there from credible sources claiming that the RTX 3080 could present a performance increase of over 50% and run more efficiently than the current Turing-based RTX range. With AMD set to release its next-gen RDNA-based Radeon cards for PC later in the year it's expected that the two companies will go head to head when it comes down to overall in-game performance. And true native 4K gaming. AMD itself has been open about 'Big Navi' saying more or less that it will be a beast.

But, back to this new-look RTX 3080. The following artist renders present a far better look at the new design approach.

That looks so awesome, maybe it will be the replacement for my old GTX 1080 - i would love to finally have a card that was more fully capable of 4K60.
