With NVIDIA noting in a new blog post that production on the GeForce RTX 3070 is ramping up quickly and that the delay is to ensure that "more cards available on launch day". The new launch date will not only ensure more Founders Editions are available but also cards from partners like MSI, Zotac, and Gigabyte.

No doubt there's a lot of hype surrounding the GeForce RTX 3070, with its $499 USD/~$809 AUD price-point NVIDIA is touting RTX 2080 Ti-like performance. As per the chart below, we can see this across intensive titles like Borderlands 3, Control, and DOOM Eternal - captured at 1440p.


With the RTX 2080 Ti sold at over twice the price as the RTX 3070 the value is impressive to say the least. Also, after the RTX 3080 launch which saw global shortages across all available models, the delay will no doubt benefit those looking to pick one up.
