The first major content patch for Zenimax Online's The Elder Scrolls Online will be launching either today or tomorrow, the developer confirmed with
IGN.
Titled "Craglorn," the update will introduce the Adventure zone of the same name, the first area of its kind for the MMORPG. The zone will feature a new storyline, new four-player veteran dungeons and of course the timed Trials 12-player raids. These new Trials will feature a very unique death counter, that once it reaches zero will mean game over for that run through, though getting to the end offers some rather tantalising loot.
"I think we’re still at the tail-end of six weeks, I could be wrong there, it’s all a blur," creative director Paul Sage told IGN. "But we’re either in the sixth week or the seventh with this update and I believe our next update is fairly on schedule. When we released we talked about our plans rather than, 'this is exactly what it’s going to be' — we’re generally pretty careful about the language."
Sage also offered a hint at the next content lined up for the MMO - Crypt of Hearts - which will feature a new Veteran level dungeon that is "lined up" for the public test server, and will be released "soon" after Craglorn. Zenimax has previously stated that new content is targeted for every four to six weeks.
