Pioneer free-to-play games publisher Nexon has opened up their Source-Engine powered Hack and Slash MMORPG Vindictus to both Mexican and Australian players, with a surprising new local server provided exclusively for Aussie players.

Originally launched in 2010, Vindictus servers had previously actively geo-blocked Australian players from connecting, seeing eager Aussies resorting to VPN connections to sneak on in. The Australian server's launch actually took place last week, oddly with no press releases or fanfare, and only a brief news post to mark the revelation.

Players interested on checking it out can download the latest game client locally from Ausgamers, and head over to vindictus.nexon.net for the rest.

Thanks to AG Forums user Question for the tip.
