Developer 3AM Games' has let us know that Magrunner: Dark Pulse has reached the 80% milestone on it's crowd-funding venture. The first-person puzzle game was the debut project for Gamesplanet Lab, an alternative platform to the popular Kickstarter, targeted specifically at crowd-funding videogames. As of the time of writing, the game's funding sits at US$98,802 of a respectable $120,482 goal.
At 3AM Games we want to prove that the first-person genre can be used for more than just shooters! Magrunner’s unique game mechanics focus on magnetic polarity and its manipulation to solve environmental puzzles. The potential for experimentation with polarities in the game is immense with a variety of environmental triggers, effects, machines, and objects at your disposal. The gameplay is simple yet dynamic, testing not only your reaction speed, but also your ability to think quickly to save your life!
3AM Games is a European indie studio founded by developers of the Sherlock Holmes games, and Magrunner is reportedly already a complete game, but the GamesplanetLab funding aims to expand its scope.

Celebrating their 80% mark, 3AM has released a new developer diary style trailer, showing off a little more gameplay from Magrunner. You can watch that one below, but if you missed it, their original pitch video, offers the best overview of the game.

Swing by their GamesplanetLab project page if you want to get on board.
