We were as confused as the next person when MTV/Harmonix announced LEGO Rock Band, a seemingly random mix-matching of popular franchises. After a closer look however, it's clear that LEGO isn't just a popular kids toy anymore, but a brand being harnessed for it's family friendliness and general accessibility.

Publisher Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment were kind enough to hook us up with some developer time at last month's E3 2009 expo and you can catch all the details in our LEGO Rock Band video interview (Also available as a written Q&A).

LEGO Rock Band is due this holiday season on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nntendo Wii and Nintendo DS.
