As part of the Ballarat Innovation Festival to be held in Ballarat, Victoria, the City of Ballarat, Multi Media Victoria, University of Ballarat and the Game Developers Association of Australia have teamed up to provide the community not only with scores of information and education on getting into game development as a career, but to also have some fun with competitive eSports during the event with some cool prizes.
The event is to highlight the potential career options within the gaming industry, and to expose and highlight the games industry as a legitimate and viable career option for the community. On the Friday there will be dedicated presentations from some of Australia's leading game developers. There will also be extensive course information on where and
what to study.
Both Demigod and Call of Duty 4 will be played competitively at the event, with $1000 up for grabs for each game. More details can be found from the event's official press release and schedule of events.
