But only by a couple of weeks, with Naughty Dog announcing that the planned March 3 release for
The Last of Us Part I on PC has now been pushed back to March 28. With the groundbreaking success and critical acclaim for the HBO series, interest in The Last of Us is massive right now - and we've got a feeling this one will be huge on PC.
"We at the studio have been completely blown away by the outpouring of love and support for The Last of Us these last few weeks," writes Naughty Dog. In addition to those replaying the game on PlayStation Naughty Dog is aware that "many of you have been excited to jump in - some for the first time - when Part I hits PC."
The reasoning for the delay is pretty simple, the additional time will be spent polishing the game ahead of its launch "to ensure this version of The Last of Us lives up to your, and our, standards."
Although we've got a date we're still waiting on full details for the PC version, as Naughty Dog has yet to reveal hardware requirements or what updates players can expect. Not to mention if there'll be any ray-tracing action or DLSS 3 support on day one. With the release date not too far away, we won't have too long to wait. As the game was recently remastered for PlayStation 5 we're expecting this version to be just as impressive.
