Battlefield 2042 is gearing up for its next major update with Season 3, which will also see the game come to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes EA Access. Season 3 also sees two more existing maps get the overhaul treatment, Manifest and Breakaway, alongside the return of classes.

And seeing how they're being implemented it's kind of shocking how this wasn't the plan in the first place. The Specialists are being grouped into classic Battlefield classes like Assault, Support, Recon, and Engineer and being tweaked to make their roles feel like a part of that role.



The team at EA and DICE have also confirmed that Season 4 will bring more newness, and that ongoing development will continue beyond that.
