You'll have to excuse the headline there, I recently watch the new Bill and Ted movie -- and it was a lot of fun. As part of a new gameplay deep dive for first expansion to last year's hit-RPG The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon we've now got a good look at the setting, story, and one of the very cool new science weapons coming.
Which is called the P.E.T., or Pest Extermination Tool, that features a gravitational beam thingy at the bottom of the handle so you can draw in enemies before an old fashioned thwacking. In motion it looks like the stuff of Melee Build Heaven.
The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon takes place on the Gorgon asteroid, which was the site of one of the most ambitious scientific undertakings in Halcyon: the development and synthesis of Adrena-Time, a drug intended to improve the productivity of workers across the Halcyon colony. After an expensive development cycle and several failed tests, the Spacer’s Choice corporation shuttered the project, and the abandoned facilities became home to marauders and a motley band of SubLight contractors.
As per above the first of two planned narrative expansions for The Outer Worlds is set on an abandoned asteroid and its story and side quests will revolve around its history, mystery, and future.
The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon is out September 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $22.95 AUD. An expansion pass bundle that includes the second bit of story content - Murder on Eridanos - will also be available for $37.95 AUD.
