And it's called
Star Wars: Project Maverick, which was discovered by Twitter account
PSN Releases - which documents all of the listings added to the various
PlayStation Network storefronts. In addition to the title we've also got some moody artwork showcasing a Star Destroyer and some tiny X-Wings, plus a lot of red volcanic mountain-y stuff going on.
Which could mean any number of things.
No word yet on what this new game might be but sources are claiming that this is the project being worked on by EA Motive - who previously worked on creating the single-player campaign for Star Wars Battlefront II. According to previous reports by Kotaku this game has been described as "unusual" - which confuses more than it explains. Especially when paired with this image.
Playing wish fulfillment for moment we'd love for this to be some sort of X-Wing fighter-based deal as the space combat from Battlefront II is good enough to be expanded into its own thing. Rogue Squadron style.
