Which worked for the Wii, but not so much the Wii U. With a release date of March next year all we know about the mysterious Nintendo NX is that its a new console. From Nintendo. That will be out in eight or so months. And with a release date so soon, we'll probably get to see a full unveiling in the next couple of months. But in the meantime all we have to go on is a few cryptic comments. Like the latest one from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

In a recent company conference call Guillemot stated the following,

"What [Ubisoft has] seen is really great. We think having a new machine coming is going to help the industry to continue to grow, and to take a lot more casual players back to the industry."

So yeah, not much to go on. Other than the console should appeal to a large market. Which means Nintendo will continue to do what it does so well. It's own thing.

But there will definitely be stuff there for hardcore gamers, as in addition to a Wii U release The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also getting a simultanous release on the NX. Which means it'll probably be a launch title.
