Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is getting a second batch of add-on content with the release of The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught on December 16th, developer 2K Australia confirmed today.
The new add-on pack will include appearances by Vault hunters Gaige and Axton who join the story having missed out on the events of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. In Holodome Onslaught, these characters have the events of the previous game recounted to them - albeit mostly just the violent stuff.
Throughout, players will fight wave after wave of enemies in a new challenge area. Some of these characters will include old enemies from the Pre-Sequels, as well as new enemies, weapons, class mods and skins. As a bonus, the add-on pack also includes the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack which raises the level cap to 60 and gives each of your characters 10 new levels and 10 new skill points to earn.
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught is included in the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass. Those who aren't Season Pass holders can purchase the pack separately for $9.99.
In addition, those who currently own Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will receive a free patch next week that will include a third playthrough known as Ultimate Vault Hunter mode. This adds higher difficulty and the ability to reset the campaign progress at any time. Full patch notes will be released closer to launch.
