The acclaimed Trine games have been a huge success for Frozenbyte, with the Finish indie developer proudly announcing today that the series has now passed over 7 million sold, covering releases on eight different platforms.

Additionally, the Editor software, compatible with both Trine and Trine 2 has now been officially released following a brief beta period. More details on that can be found on the developer's official blog:
The Editors may take a while to learn how to use, so they might not be for everyone – but feel free to give them a try if you are up for it! The Editors are very diverse tools that allow you to edit existing maps, create whole new maps and share your creations with others through the Steam Workshop.
Lastly, Frozenbyte has informed us that both Trine and Trine 2 will now be among the titles that will be temporarily available to play for free in this weekend's Steam Free Weekend festivities.
