Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry 4 and its far enough along that they've revealed it with an official release date - November 18 2014 in North American and November 20 in Europe.

Confirming previous rumours, the game will feature a Himalayan setting:
In Far Cry® 4, players find themselves in Kyrat, a breathtaking, perilous and wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king. Using a vast array of weapons, vehicles, and animals, players will write their own story across an exotic open-world landscape.

“Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations,” said Dan Hay, Executive Producer. “Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry® 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”
There are no screenshots of videos yet, only a packshot. However we won't have to wait too long as a full reveal is expected next month at E3 2014.

I wonder if the guy in the suite is gay. Not that it matters but gay characters or the lack of have been in the news in recent years. Tamodotchi recently and Mass Effect. I wonder if Ubi is going to be a little edgy and do that.

Yeah they should make every antagonist gay. That'll give the LGBT community something to talk about
