The gumshoes at Fusible have been sniffing the US Patent and Trademark Office again and have discovered a couple of new filings by Ubisoft as well as corresponding Internet domain name registrations by same for a game titled Battle of Heroes: Land of Immortals (thanks VG247).
Battle of Heroes: Land of Immortals (1): “Entertainment services namely providing an on-line computer game for others over global and local area computer networks and providing information on-line relating to computer games and video games.”

Battle of Heroes: Land of Immortals (2):”Game software and electronic game programs, namely, software games recorded on CD-ROM and digital video discs for computers; software games recorded on CD-ROMs, digital video discs, and cartridges for console and individual, portable gaming systems; software games that are downloadable from a remote computer site and electronic game software for mobile phones, personal digital assistants, and handheld computers.”
The name clearly sounds so sterotypically MOBA/ARTS, in the vein of Heroes of Newerth, Heroes of the Storm and League of Legends, and MOBAs are still so hot right now.

Could it be a lane-based action strategy game padded with Ubisoft heroes like Sam Fisher, Rayman and Prince of Persia? That might be a bit too weird, but let's wait and see what eventuates.

As I have said before, MOBAs are like the new WW2 FPS and Fantasy MMO bandwagons. I would much prefer that we go back to WW2 games, myself.
