You’ve got to hand it to the Call of Duty games for knowing how to make things epic. What was set up in Modern Warfare and built upon in Modern Warfare 2 may well be trumped by the grandiose scale that’s showcased in a 13-minute gameplay trailer, fresh out of E3. What is it with game developers blowing the snot out of the US of A of late?

Battlefield 3 may well have the edge in terms of the Frostbite 2 engine, but Modern Warfare 3 looks as though it'll be one hell of a ride. Let us know what you think after you've checked out the gameplay trailer below:

pretty sure several missions in CODMW2 are situated in the US, aren't they? i think i remember there being at least one in suburban virginia (my home state :D) and one in DC after ze russians had invaded (lol).

None of that looked any different to the single-player FPS games we've been playing for the last decade.

Oh yeah.

The end of Modern Warfare 2 was on US soil.
Oh yeah.

It sounds like I'm about to unload my zub but i cant say it's over MW3.

I guess bringing that s*** right into the heart of a city like New York has a different feel than to some hick suburb filled with burger kings in outback alabama :p

Hmm, it's not really doing anything for me. I've already fought my way thru New York city in Crysis 2.

I'm going to buy this on PC and bind my x key to reload, just to piss off all you console haters.

Yay another mediocre singleplayer campaign.
Do they do anything fresh to these games? Besides the maps, what is so different about this as compared to every other Call of Duty game ever... Frustrates me. Especially when I saw when he shot that guy and he kinda fell, exact same animation as i've seen in MW2. Almost everything on the animation side is the same though. Meh. Atleast multiplayer is fun for a little while.

It will probably be 2 hours of single player game play for 50 euros so might give it a miss, looks like the same old stuff really.

"I'm going to buy this on PC and bind my x key to reload, just to piss off all you console haters."

Pretty sure the only one who will end up pissed off is you for 1. having to use x on your keyboard to reloaded all the bloody time and 2. For buying the stupid game in the first place.

It's the Michael Bay of games. It's SO will be max 5 hours, will relieved explosion and death on rails for the cod type people, and then they'll get into mp, play it for few weeks, then proceed to wait for the next dlc/cod. Though I don't think these new studios will have a chance to redeem themselves if they f*** up and its a s***** online experience like black ops.

BF3>MW3

In any case I'm still maintaining the boycott.

Looks exactly the same as MW2. The engine has had some sex pumped into it but I see nothing new here.

Dual scope gave me mini-wood though.

But at the end of the day, Elite has killed this for me.

thought this was supposed to be a MW3 trailer?.

in all seriousness, i stopped watching it after about 2.5 minutes. Nothing new to see.

the long BF3 trailers however (full fault line and the Tank mission), i have watched in full and more than once at that.
