Mass Effect 2 DLC Next Month, New Screens

More Mass Effect 2 DLC is on the way, due to arrive in June, further expanding BioWare's critically acclaimed sci-fi universe.

When sent to investigate a Cerberus research base that's mysteriously gone silent, Shepard arrives to find Geth overrunning the base. The sole survivor, Chief Scientist Archer, paints a dire picture: an experiment to fuse a human volunteer with a virtual intelligence created a dangerous hybrid "VI overlord". The rampaging VI has already attacked three other Cerberus bases, controlling any technology it finds in an attempt to break free–and unleashing Geth across the planet.

The action will span across five missions, with two new Achievements to unlock. Here's hoping all this DLC isn't just filler though, and that these new characters have an impact on the eventual third installment in the series. Check out some screens for the Overlord DLC below.

Josh, yeah I've finished the game and you can still play the DLC - it's a bit weird though, because some of it sits out of context, like, the reason you're getting the new character is for the last mission, even if you've done it - would have preferred a but more dynamism in that department

but yer, maximum production values, theres soooooo much stuff in the game, and to think they voice acted most of it twice! (chick version and male versions)

shame they went the s*** mining sections

Have you played the mining sections since the latest patch (patch only on 360 so far)?

They have made the reticle heaps bigger and increased the speed by about 200%. It takes about a minute to mine a whole planet now.

protip matey, you can download save games from internets

i didnt bother playing on, i started second game from scratch, was still mucho enjoyable (except for the mining, which was retarded)

wifey would walk into my computer room and ask me why i rolling my mouse the length of my desk like a giant spaz

Well I've been meaning to give ME2 another playthrough.... think I will with that mining patch and new DLC coming out
