For those who have been on the fence about it or can't justify forking over USD$70 for it on Steam, EB have Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for 50% until Sunday. This means you'll be paying $44.97 for the PC version and $54.97 for the XBox 360/PS3 versions.

Edit: Our pricing page for Bad Company 2 indicates that this is probably one of the best deals in town at the moment!

went to eb and didnt see any ps3 copies, will try somewhere else... still in 2 minds about it... im still playing mag a lot and dont really want to be distracted by another mp game.

Why anyone would even give EB the time of day is beyond me.

Or you could score a CD key for the EA Download for 28 bucks all weekend off Lioncorp keys... my mate grabbed one last weekend when they had the same special. Had the key within a day and the only drawback i can see is that unlike Steam, you can't specify where it downloads from in the EA DL manager... so the dl went against his bandwidth quota and he got shaped lol...

Is that $28USD or AUD? Good price though. Still available? if so link?

For those who havent bought this if u like FPS you should, its awesome playin with your mates on a squad. Even if you pay full price its well worth the money in replayability.

Sucks when ur on a crap team tho :D

This is what everyone keeps telling me, great as a squad, my limited experience was solo and sucked. I'm well past the clan stage in my gaming life.

If I buy the game from EB, can I register it to my steam account, mainly so if I lose the CD I can just download it from steam.

No, you can't viper. It's not like MW2, where it goes through steam. Retail copy is its own, so you'll have to write the key down somewhere safe

My mate bought BC2 from JB HiFi and his key said 'already in use' - he tried to return and they refused. I tried to get him to keep working on it and take the official paths but he just didn't have the energy.

I got bored but I don't really like star wars either.

You'll get much better value out of BC2 MP. So much fun. I've never really liked any BF games besides maybe 1942 but this is awesome. The 'feel' of this engine is a lot better as well. feels less retarded.

I went to EB, they had sold out but Chermside had a copy, I got them to put it on hold, then I went a few shops down the isle to Game and they were happy to price match even though the EB in the same center were sold out, the chickies were pretty nice, then they got me to sign their 18+ petition.

So $45 Battlefield 2 and I didn't have to give EB money. Woot.

Browns plains (qld) stores all sold out. went to game traders and they would not price match. went to harvey norman and the guy didnt bother looking the price up on eb as he had already had 6 people this morning get it price matched. first time in my life ill say thanks harvey norman.

Mate got the same from eB For MW2. Eb took it back and said it will be reported to EA and the CDkey cancelled.

I felt like it was the most retarded BF yet, mainly due to no prone and no strafing while sprinting.
