It's not exactly E3, but Melbourne punters interested in checking out some of the latest goods in gaming can consider stopping by the second annual eGames Expo this weekend. Friday 30th November 2009 through Sunday November 1st 2009 at the Royal Exhibition Buildings, Carlton.

Boasted as Australia's biggest video games expo, there's actually quite a lot on offer this year, including the opportunity to check out a few pre-release games. Our man in Melbourne, Mike Bantick has the complete low-down on what to expect in this quick rundown.

This ought to be huge*, given how the Melbourne games industry has tanked and 30% of GameDevs are out of jobs in the last 12 months.

Went last year for when Crysis released, too many brats and no where near enough pc\consoles to actually try any of the games.

Put me off going back...
