CD Projekt RED has today announced that their landmark role-playing game has arrived on consoles for the first time, as The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition is now available on the Xbox 360 as well as on the PC.
All the RPG greatness of The Witcher 2 comes to the Xbox 360 in the richest and most plentiful edition ever. The Enhanced Edition adds around 4 hours of additional quests to the award-winning RPG and makes the intense story even more intriguing thanks to 35 minutes of new cut-scenes and cinematics. The new edition of the game comes with all the previous DLCs and upgrades including the arcade arena mode and a completely separate tutorial system.
For PC players the Enhanced Edition is actually free for anyone who owns the game, which you can find the full patch on AusGamers. CD Projekt is also offering any customers with a non-GOG.com version of The Witcher 2 the ability to get a GOG.com version for free, which you can find here.

If you haven't yet tried out The Witcher 2 and are still on the fence, you can check out AusGamers review of the Enhanced Edition, as well as the PC Edition released last year.

It was promised for a long time and now almost a year after the PC version launched to wide acclaimed, the Xbox 360 version brings CD Projekt's gritty RPG franchise to console for the first time -- along with a bunch of extra "Enhanced Edition" features.

To find out how the game made the conversion from the desktop to the couch, we tasked console-preferred gamer Dave "ko-zee-ii" Kozicki to the task and although there's a few hiccups and it's been a long wait, it looks to have held up ok.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings – Enhanced Edition is an unconventional and layered RPG with a steep learning curve that is not for the uninitiated or faint of heart. Baring a few faltering steps it is a well rounded and thought provoking tale offering far more than its linear progression should allow.
