Although it's listed as being in Beta, full cross-play support for Overwatch is now live on all platforms - PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. To enable the new feature players will need to create a Battle.net account (or use their existing accounts) and then link-up their consoles.

From there you'll have access to the feature and the expanded goodness of a bigger friends list and group of people to play with.



Even though a Battle.net account is required the whole process is fairly straightforward. You can simply scan a QR code on the console versions of Overwatch and do the whole link deal via the Battle.net mobile app or browser.

For full details head here. As an added bonus players will receive one Golden Loot Box on all platforms they play on. Though on that front there are currently no plans for cross-progression -- at least that we can see.
