At this year's E3, AusGamers checked out Metro: Last Light, sequel to the critically acclaimed debut title from 4A Games and author, Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro 2033 (click here for our preview).

Critically acclaimed as the game was though, it still had many teething problems and certainly fell short of epic in a number of areas. One area it didn't though was in its visual delivery for the PC, acting as the DirectX 11 poster child for nVidia, as well as sating many a disgruntled desktop gamer, sick of PC games being left behind, technically, to stay in touch with the larger console market.

In an interview we conducted at E3 with THQ's Huw Beynon, who works directly with the team at 4A Games (all of which you'll see a bit later today), he rather happily explained that the demo being shown (which looked incredible, I might add) was running on a "pretty modest PC", adding that they'll be talking about how they've managed to squeeze so much out of the game for PC closer to launch, but that right now, they're very pleased with the game's viual fidelity.

"I don’t mind telling you that it was a six gig of ram i7 and we had a single GTX-480, which was nVidia’s DX11 launch card last year," he told us. "I think it’s fair to say that the guys at 4A are some kind of strange, technical wizards that can get that kind of performance out of it so we’re really excited."

Ahead of our video interview, be sure to check out both part one and part two of Metro: Last Look's E3 demo right here on AusGamers.
