so how would you suggest they fund themselves and remain independent and above accusations of bias?

I wouldn't mind that info as well. Was thinking of picking up a new front loader next week (particularly how electrolux faired).

They accept money for their services, therefore they are able to be bribed. If they were totally free I might trust them but since SOMEONE has to pay, who is to say they're not accepting money from big companies?

in the real world, what would be a better way to fund something like them other than having the government foot the bill?

It's just a $10 a month magazine subscription, except they state that they buy all the products they review, at retail and without making the seller aware of the purpose of the purchase.

Actually, this practice shouldn't be the stand-out that it is, but unfortunately so many reviews you see these days online and in printed press are based on free samples.

was looking at the wfs1071bw can get it for $570 + the free 1yr laundry powered offer atm. seems like a good deal, but have never owned a front loader b4

CHeers

ps PISSED OFF that i missed the $200 rebate that finished on the 31/12/08, would have been a very nice washer for $370.

They desperately need a per-article fee or something - last time I checked it was like, $15 a month for online subscription or something, which I reckon is too steep.

F*** koopz, take a pill ya tard

They could make money buy using Google adsense if they really wanted. Theys make plenty enough to pay for their silly site.

F*** paying 15 a month for that sort of s***. My free consumer advise is, dont waste your money lining the pockets of those pricks at choice.

front loaders don't wash anywhere near as well. you're better off with a top loader and just do the washing less often. personally i'd rather have clean clothes than save 20L of water a wash.
