Next Batman film: The Dark Knight Rises

Works for me. No Riddler makes me sad, but playing through Arkham Asylum I'm reminded of just how many baddies the Bat has faced off against over the years outside of the usual Joker/Two Face/Penguin/Catwoman crew.

please dont f*** this up, by including robin, or batgirl Robin and Batgirl both meet fairly grisly fates in some of the various Batman stories. Pretty sure from memory that at least one Robin has been killed off and Batgirl's currently a paraplegic. There's some room for fairly horrible stuff right there. |

Correct, bat girl gets shot and and gets her quads on as oracle... helping batman out from the batcave.

Can't really see the Bruce Wayne in Nolan's films adopting a youthful ward and training him to be his sidekick though, so I'll doubt there'll be a robin.
They should bring the Red Hood in, just minus the backstory where he used to be robin. Just have him as a hardcore vigilante who is sick of Batman not being tough enough on the mobsters, and starts going around killing people. Kind of play him as a "What batman could become if he ever crossed that line" sort of character, I reckon nolan could do some interesting stuff with it. |

As Khel points out it wouldn't really fit the Nolan Batman either. They could start the origin story for a Robin character I think without it being a total mess but I would prolly still prefer to focus on just one "good guy" vigilante. Disappointed that its not the Riddler, because I think a hardcore creepy villanous Riddler would be an awesome character done in the darker style of Nolan. Penguin I think would be a bit lame, but it could pan out. Catwoman could also be OK! |

haha rev, yous be trollin I wish I was. I just found the whole Harvey Dent turning into Twoface in a matter of hours really lame. And when Batman had that lame sonar eyesight thingy when he was chasing down the Joker. It was like watching the s***** Batman and Robin movie all over again. And the whole bit with the boats at the end really ruined the pace of the film. Everything was fine up until the hospital and then it was like the film suddenly changed. It was like watching a different movie. |

^I sorta agree that two face could have and probably should have been a villain for a whole movie but i still really enjoyed the dark knight regardless of the slight pacing issues. It felt like bad boys 2 after Marcus' sister gets nabbed and taken to Cuba.. Was like another movie tacked on.

If he did it then we'd have to sit thru another movie with Johnny Depp acting all kooky and s*** plus another goth looking Helena Bohnam Carter. Speaking of Tim Burton. Killer croc would be pretty good, there was a good hardcover Joker comic done recently by the guy who writes 100 bullets (who's name I currently can't remember) that had a really good gritty "real" version of killer croc that would fit in Nolan's world.

TDK would have to be one of the best movies in the past 10-15 years.
I still don't understand how people can think two face would be in the third, he's dead... Riddler would have been the best villain for the third movie. But seems nolans wants to keep villain linked with the mob scene, so who would be that be.. Any ideas?? |

I was thinking the villan be Two-Face. Last movie had Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent. Dent was working with Batman. And he got acid to the face. At the end of 'The Dark Knight' you see a scene of him with that two headed silver coin he flips and blames Batman for his ugly face.

Thats why I mentioned the Joker book by Brian Azzarello, cos in that Killer Croc is just a big, tough, psycopathic roided up bruiser, who's filed down his teeth and has cannibalistic tendencies and some kind of messed up skin condition that makes his skin all scaly. Its a pretty sweet take on it, would work perfectly in the more "real" world of Nolan's Batman. I highly recommend the book anyway, its pretty damn awesome. It has a weird, f***ed up version of the Riddler too who is coked out of his mind. |
