Hey,
Just wondering? What do yous drink and how do you use it? :P Me, Jimmy everytime and I always have one on the way to work to keep me going all day. |
I like to have a coffee before leaving for work. Peps me up.
Then I'll have another coffee at work, usually with copious amounts of Milo in it. Work gives free Milo so I use that to its full extent. |
I drink water to stay alive.
Water water water water, stayin alive, stayin alive.. Then when I'm feeling really adventurous I'll sink down an extra mild lemonade to really get me going. Mild lemonaaaaaaaade... you really got me going, you got me so i dont know what i'm doing yeah.. |
Parties Home: Wild Turkey / Makers Mark (Mix myself)
Parties Out: Beer or Wild Turkey (Cans Premix) Camping: Wild Turkey (Cans Premix) Work lunch: Beer Clubs/Pubs: Beer / Makers Mark / Wild Turkey Some Ocasions: Scotch. Glenlivet / Glenfiddich usually. |
when the weather is cold i have a hot chocolate before work while doing my freelance invoicing. but my drink of choice is a double shot piccolo
|
Parties Home: Wild Turkey / Makers Mark (Mix myself) Good drinker. |
coffee and milo
but not both together, that is always a cup of wrong |
From wake up to lunch - extra strong coffee
Lunch till 3 - Diet Coke 3 till 5 - more Extra strong Coffee 5 till bed - Diet Coke Friday and Saturday night - Toohey's Extra Dry Platinum I do enjoy the occasional bourbon/rum and coke or a glass of red. |
Really depends on the occasion.
Work lunch - beer. Restaurant - Wine. At home or party - beer/strongbow/southern comfort. Usually strongbow. But on average i'll have about one standard drink per week. |
Parties Home: Wild Turkey / Makers Mark (Mix myself) +1 except just normally drink Wild turkey everywhere mix myself everywhere |
I like to mix it up
sometimes I buy a carton of beer that I haven't had in a while cause I might have enjoyed one or two schooners at the pub that week right now I still have 6 carlton mids left in my fridge that I just cant bring myself to drink, the other 18 were bad enough I pretty rarely drink spirits anymore, currently I've got a bottle of makers mark and some kind of premium girly (very sweet) bourbon that my mrs likes my normal beer choice is either becks/heiny/corona |
^carlton mids would have to be the best midstrength beer on the market, behind blonde naked
that being said the competition in midstrength beers is pretty darn s*** |
Captain Morgan's Spiced Gold
Coopers Heineken More Coopers Jameson |
Lots of variety of beer:
Mountain Goat Little Creatures Coopers Hahn Super Dry (when I feel like drinking water) Hoegaarden And VBs. Spirits : Southern Comfort (when I feel like getting smashed on something EASY) usually neat. Vodka And Beam when I feel like being a redneck. (also beam works a treat at music festivals- in ya coke and away you go) |
I used to drink all sorts of crap throughout the day like coffee and coke, now I pretty much drink water and just water and f*** me do I feel a hundred times better for it.
As for drinks of the alcoholic variety, I've got a bottle of Glenmorangie 16yo single malt I'm working my way through, like to have a glass of that neat at night when I'm lounging back watching some tv or relaxing. |
Vary a bit, but usually happiest with bundy, despite its attempt to assassinate me once.
|
Friday and Saturday night - Toohey's Extra Dry Platinum Strong s***. Me and my mate the other weekend ended up cleaning off a carton of that s***... NEVER AGAIN. |
6.5% isn't strong beer, you need to explore more.
I drink a mixture of -Beer -Bourbon -Vodka No rum, no scotch, yuck. |
6.5% isn't strong beer, you need to explore more. 6.5% is quite strong for beer. I'm not too sure why it hammers me so hard though, I can drinking WAY stronger drinks then 6.5% and not get as silly as I do on them. |
Yeah, Extra Dry Platinum messes me up too, far more than the alchol content would suggest. Smirnoff double blacks are like 7% and I can drink more of them than I can Extra Dry Platinum and end up better off.
|
still wondering if you were serious about having a jimmy on the way to work lol
at the moment and for a while now beer of choice has been: Pure Blonde spirit has always been bourbon: Wild Turkey/Jim Beam but mainly Wild Turkey lately |
still wondering if you were serious about having a jimmy on the way to work lol Yeah, just one can. Just drive to work in traffic sipping on it.. Trust me, try it! You will get so much work done and be in a good mood the whole day! Edit: Plus, it's like 6:30 - 7 in the morning and everyone is to f*****g tired to notice anyway. :) |
Work: Coffee in the morning and then water all day.
Drinking out: Guinness with Carlton Draught if they have no black stuff on tap. Drinking in: Red wine or Whiskey And for some reason I'm hooked on making my own lemon, lime & bitters while at home and I want a cool drink - easily make 2 or 3 a day :( |
Bruichladdich Moine Mhor 3D 2nd Edition
Ardbeg Uigheadail Ardbeg 10yo Lagavulin 16yo The Glenlivet 18yo Glenmorangie Sherry Wood Finish (first edition) Glenmorangie 18yo The Macallan 25yo Glenrothes 1993 vintage |
soft: Galliano/soda hard: rum/coke good night: scotch/rocks |
booze wise... glenfiddich, boags prem, little creatures, TEDs for when i'm feeling cheap
soft drink... ginger beer / coke / fanta and some lemonade coffee i used to have once a morning @ work simply because they had a badassss coffee machine, i can't drink instant anymore tastes like s*** tonne of water, i'll generally always have a glass / bottle next to me |
6.5% is quite strong for beer. 6.5 isn't that strong for beer, if you actually look at other beers from around the world. With German and Belgian beers, you won't find anything lower than about 5%, and quite a large amount of them sit around 7%. I drink water and milk most days. Not a lot of soft-drink, and it's pretty much always the sugar-free stuff when I do. For alcohol, I like a big variety of different beers. Lots of ales, German wheat beers, and some Trappist beers too. I've also got a keg of homebrew alcoholic ginger beer sitting in my kegerator at the moment, so a glass of that with lots of ice and some lime wedges goes down nicely. |
2-3 double ristretto flat whites usually before 9
Bout 6 Litres of water per day Green tea during the day if I am working at home and it is cold Pump shakes at the gym, More Coffee after surfing, Powerade during golf, During summer smash the San Pel by the gallon Beer, Red Wine, Scotch, Rum, Everything really |
drinking on the way to work is failing life.
|
Mostly tea and fruit juice (apple, pineapple, pear)
Something sugary Ill go for lemonade. For something harder Smirnoff double blacks. Ill have a corona or two with a couple of mates that drink just that but its not the best. |
drinking on the way to work is failing life. How so? |
drinking on the way to work is failing life yeah it's a pretty deads*** thing to do you musn't do a very technical kind of job intergage? |
One drink won't do you in, but in my non-expert opinion it sounds like you're using it as an anti-depressant. I've considered doing the same before though.
|
One drink won't do you in, but in my non-expert opinion it sounds like you're using it as an anti-depressant. I've considered doing the same before though. Pretty sure in most (all?) states its illegal to drive with an opened alcoholic beverage. I remember as a kid (like 12) one of my relos would pass me the can of jimmy if he saw the fuzz. So much fail on so many levels :) |
Tooheys Extra Dry usually.
I am commonly found down at the pig n whistle tho after work (and occasionally lunch times) where I get on the stone&woods or JD. |
I keep a keg of Smirnoff Vodka and a box of Jelly Snakes in the back seat, a lot like a fallen from grace radio hero of recent times
|

Tooheys Extra Dry usually. I go to the Pig and Whistle for UFC. Haha. |
drinking on the way to work is failing lifeyeah it's a pretty deads*** thing to do IT Tech. VM ware, blade servers.. That s***. Pretty technical in my eyes. I do have breakky before my first (and last) drink of the day. It's not like I'm an Alco or anything... *looks around* |
If he's only having one a day, regardless of what time it is, that's not a problem. Somewhat unorthodox but more a moral issue than functional alcoholism.
EDIT: o yeah, beer all the time unless I'm going out in which case vodka lime soda. Wine if I'm eating at a restaurant and sometimes at home. last edited by reload! at 12:38:02 20/May/10 |
well said reload
however i function badly enough in the mornings without my judgement being clouded even more by alcohol |
Who can afford to be an alcy these days ?
I love "Smirnoff Double Blacks" and 1-2 "Elevates" before that. If im out eating i might go for a Beams and Coke. I despise weak booze. |
i find after having 1 pint on a friday arvo at the pub for lunch makes be tired after it wears off
no idea how having 1 drink in the morning keeps you going 1 point of wizz i could understand |
I drink a mix of beers (low-carb and full strength but not lights or mids), scotches, rums and bourbons. I have tried as many bourbons, scotches and rums as possible up to about the $80/bottle mark. I don't like Bundy as a general rule.
My drink of choice at the moment is Johnnie Walker. Lately i haven't been drinking much - 2 cans a week on a Thursday night after football training. |
that's because the rest of us aren't f*****g bigheaded girls who drink sissy girly drinks.
harden the f*** up. |
Awwww reload's made a friend, even if he is an alcoholic.
One coffeee in the morning. I'm somewhat addicted to bought coffee, instant is just so s*** :( Pretty well water for the rest of the day, very rarely juice or coke zero, maybe a tea at night. Booze wise, whatever beer is on special that tickles my fancy. Getting it on special serves two purposes: 1 - cheaper 2- variaty as different beers come and go on special Don't really drink that much though unless people over or I'm out somewhere, then I'm happy to give it a go (until the next morning :(). Probably average 6 or so beers a weekend if I'm hanging at home (wife doesn't drink so I fly the flag solo). |
I only drink petrol cause I'm a TANK!
|
that's because the rest of us aren't f*****g bigheaded girls who drink sissy girly drinks. you don't drink because some dude that probably didn't even exist told you not to drink like 3000 years ago..... |
but what i do drink, includes
fresh milk (un pasteurised or homogenised) V8 vege juice - with chilli sauce added cordial, water, orange juice beer, wine, spirits, depends on the occasion i love fortified wines that have been aged for about 20 years in oak casks. casks, barrels whatever. |
I have gone right off alcohol these days (except for my quarterly bacardi binge). Ice Break in the morning, water during the day, coffee about 2.30pm. Then Mother or XS cola while pro gaming.
|
PRO GAMER. awesome career choice brooooooo
|
7am - Coffee (get to work)
10am - Coffee (morning tea at work) 2pm - Coffee (lunch at work) 5pm - Coffee (get home from work) Fill in the gaps there with water. When it comes to alcohol it's gotta be rum. Only special occasions though as it makes me very energetic and sometimes aggro. |
Pretty sure in most (all?) states its illegal to drive with an opened alcoholic beverage. I think in NSW at least the open containers can't be in the front, ie you can get sloshed in the back no worries my cousins assured me of this when I was driving us to get drunk somewhere so it must be true |
even for passengers? I got pulled over the other night with my friend in the car and she was wasted, had a beer between her legs and the cop didn't say anything?
|
Man some of you drink a lot and I'm not talking about alcohol.
I have a coffee for breakfast and usually a coke or beer with dinner. If I drink anything during the day it's water and only when it's hot as f*** and I get thirsty. I do drink juice and various types of alcohol + mixers but nothing regularly. |
I pretty much stick to dihydrogen monoxide.
And a couple of good coffees, not that instant sewerage. An occasional beer or wine. I hate spirits except in yummy c***tail form. |
Man some of you drink a lot and I'm not talking about alcohol. yeah, im doing my best to have clear wee, so much better. |
How much water do yous drink? I try and drink 4 full bottles (re-fill a pump) bottle a day.
|
JD, wotka or irish whiskey. JD is Scotch, bra. If you mean Jack Daniel's by JD. Mayhap you mean something else. |
I only drink petrol cause I'm a TANK! pfft harden up! get some avgas up ins |
apparently in qld u cant have an open carton of beer/alco in ur car, or a 6pack or any bottles at all. everything has to be in ur boot unless its a closes carton. Passengers cant even drink these days as ur car is classified as "public" space now...
load of bulls***. guy at work few weeks ago got a ticket for having a 6pack in his car (not opened, on the floor of the passenger side). |
pretty much drink :
water pineapple juice, oj milk + milo alcohol: scotch on the odd occasion(chivas or johny dry n lime, apart from that nothing |
Who can afford to be an alcy these days ? me, i drink yalumba boxes of wine definately cant have open containers of booze in front or back in qld i got pulled up by the cops coming back from indian lunch a while ago id smashed 6 vb throwdowns with my hot hot hot beef vindaloo at punjabis, and the boys had the rest of the carton of throwdowns in the back with them drove past coppers on way back to work (2 minute drive) and they did a uie and pulled me up said "we saw beers being consumed" (the boys were drinking in the back) asked me where the booze was, i said, its not open, they checked the guys in teh back who had put their open beers under the seats. got angry and breathalised me, i blew under and they were even more cranky. gave me a big spiel about open booze in cars and sent me on my way. pretty much everyone in the car thought i was going down, but im a terminator at processing alcohols |
Jimmy Beamy! (white, black, bonded, small batch) /me looks @ ten pack right now :D
Jacky Daniely! Cougar! Bundy OP Absinth Green Chatruesse (sp?) Bacardi 151 And a mixture of hard hitting c***tails :D |
fresh milk (un pasteurised or homogenised)Where do you get your raw milk from? |
Box Monster Alcys are in trouble if we move to a Flat tax on Alcohol.
Good news for Alcopoppers though. Its fun drinking with friends Im kinda partial to some private drinking with my guitar. |
^ and your Grandad
Edit: pie post! |
JD is Scotch, bra. If you mean Jack Daniel's by JD. Mayhap you mean something else.no it's not. jack daniels is bourbon (american whiskey) ... scotch is whiskey... but its from scotland. Nah, I disagree. Ok, I Googled this just now and see that it's a can of worms. No point arguing. |
i wouldnt classify jd as scotch.
if i asked for a scotch and got jd i would send it back. |
jd scotch?
No!It is not a Scotch. The whiskies produced in Scotland or made in the similar style are called scotch. Jack Daniels is a Tennessee whisky. It is made in the U.S and has a particular smoky taste and flavor. It gets its smoky flavor from the last stage of the distillation process. It is one of the leading whisky brand in the world |
You guys are high :S Scotch isn't made with maize.
Jack Daniel's is a Tennessee whiskey, has it's own name... produced the same as other bourbon whiskeys except it's charcoal filtered. JD is made with 51%+ maize, same as bourbon. |
only whiskey produced in scotland is scotch.
anyway - something as mass produced as Jim, Jack and John is never going to be as good as a single malt. |
Glenlivet 12 year single malt is my favourite affordable scotch at the moment.
Usually scotch, beer and water is what I drink. As for beer preference: 1. Asahi 2. Hoegaarden great tasing beer but more so for the novelty monster sized glasses you get them in. 3. Heineken/Corona 4. Anything else |
Get some islay malts into you. I recommend caol ila and laphroaig |
I hate spirits except in yummy c***tail form. that's just a little bit gay, orbs |
Aahhh a worthy place for a first post :)
1. VB for summer, ice cold of course and any time of the day. 2. Makers in winter (neat), restricted to special occasions or when the other half is out of town. 3. A nice red with a meal, preferably meat involved, not the type that swims. |
CHUB: milk comes from a friend up near gympie
|
Glenlivet 12 year single malt is my favourite affordable scotch at the moment.Get some islay malts into you. I recommend caol ila and laphroaig I second this statement. Have a mate bringing me back some more 18yo Caol Ila from the UK in the near future. I dislike not having any of it :P Laphroaig isn't bad, but for my money, there are better Islay malts out there. |
Aahhh a worthy place for a first post :) . Welcome! |
1. VB for summer, ice cold of course and any time of the day. you can stay, i like the cut of your jib! 2. Makers in winter (neat), restricted to special occasions or when the other half is out of town. no you cant f***** get out 3. A nice red with a meal, preferably meat involved, not the type that swims. ok, i cant stay angry with you, you are back in |
Ive Become a bit of a wino, like a nice Red Wine in the evenings to wind down.
|
Bourbons: Wild turkey (if nothing else), Makers Mark, Blantons, Elijah Craig, Woodforde Reserve, Wild Turkey Rare Bread, 1792 (Available in the USA, not here and is the best of the lot).
Beer: Just about anything except a lot of these new prissy girlie beers - Fat Yak and many of the James Squire crap. I like my beer bitter, a stout or a dark ale. Wine: Red and Dry Whites - Not up-to-date on brands but if it's a good one I'll drink it. Port: Not up-to-date either on brands but I like a good port. |
If you like Bourbon try some Canadian Club.
|
Various beers - Squires Amber/Golden, Sam Adams, Asahi, etc. Extra dry is cheap and cheerful. Quadrupels are good if you're in a hurry.
Canadian club and dry. But mostly gin. Quality gin. Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray are the regulars with Hendricks for special occasions. Gin and tonics are easy and tasty. Don't mind a Tom Collins, but they involve a little effort. Martinis are king though. So tasty, freakin easy to make and so classy. Non alcoholic - lots of water, cordial with soda water. |
If its beer then at the momment Harringtons wobbly boot, or Belgium viking
Currently drinking Coopers Best Extra Stout tallys as a chaser of a carton of steinlager classic a customer gave me last edited by HerbalLizard at 18:08:34 20/May/10 last edited by HerbalLizard at 18:09:12 20/May/10 |
My favourites are:
- Red and white wine - Baileys on ice (no milk) - Tanqueray gin with tonic water and a dash of lime - Midori with pineapple juice and lemonade All of this being said, I think I only really drink maybe 1-2 drinks/2 months max, and it's usually just a glass with dinner. Not a huge drinker. |
Normally:
Decent Beer - Boags and up Decent tequila (neat) - Scorpion Mezcal ftw All other times: Anything with alc on the label |
Alcohol - mainly Coronas with lime, but I like trying different beers so cruise Dan's for Aussie and OS brews and mix it up. Will drink most beers as is evidenced by my gut.
Wine - like red, most varieties, not a variety snob just like grabbing something and giving it a go. been meaning to start recording it all so I know when something is awesome or s***. very occasional white (sav blanc, chenin, verdelho) very very occasionally bubbles, bubbles and white are day time wines for me. don't touch any spirits but will drink things like baileys, kahlua, etc after dins. Hot drinks - love Glorias and other coffee shop coffees if they are good. don't drink instant at all. like Chi and green tea also. LIke Iced Coffees on weekends. Softies - Pepsi Max addict, if not available then Lemon/Lime/Bitters either Agostura or that Bundy version, hate coke of any variety. And tonnes of water all day at work and beside my bed every night. I piss like Niagra falls!! |
Im a hard core jack daniels drinker, going out on the piss friday night to a local surf club will be drinking j.D all night long YEEEEEHAR.
Jack Daniel's is not a bourbon - it's a Tennessee Whiskey. Jack Daniel's is dripped slowly - drop-by-drop - through ten feet of firmly packed charcoal (made from hard sugar maple) before going into new charred oak barrels for aging. This special process gives Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey its rare smoothness. It's this extra step - charcoal mellowing - that makes Jack Daniel's a Tennessee Whiskey Bourbon is at least 51% corn and is indigenous to the United States. Southern Ham says: For a whiskey to qualify as bourbon, the law--by international agreement--stipulates that it must be made in the USA. It must be made from at least 51% and no more than 79% Indian corn, and aged for at least two years. (Most bourbon is aged for four years or more.) Jack Daniel's and George D***el of Tennessee are both 80% corn (their Barley and Rye percentages differ) thus taking them out of the strict "Bourbon" definition. Both distillers rather proudly point out that they are "Tennessee Sippin' Whiskies |
I hate spirits except in yummy c***tail form. i hope you don't play AFL and Ackers doesn't read this! |
I drink Guinness almost exclusively now when I got out, I got onto it cause I wanted something to slow me down. Hasn't really worked but I do love the taste. I usually do about 6-7 pints and I'm full then onto the rums.
|
booze: captain morgan and coke
xxxx summer bright lager guinness cascade stout <--- a f*****g good drop non booze: oak chocolate milk sprite diet caffeine free coke <--- thats all the vending machines at work had one day, i've developed a taste for it. |
Reverend, meh it's just a name. JD is stored with the bourbons at liquor stores, bourbon drinkers will drink JD and JD drinkers will drink bourbons generally.
I wouldn't really call it a "sipping whiskey" though, it's not exactly the greatest quality spirit to drink neat (I do love it with a mixer though). |
booze: captain morgan and coke you have good taste |
Nothing fancy here, Carlton Draught on the weekends ( sometimes with a dash of stones) coffee during the week.
|
I'm pretty hardcore, i drink tea, water, cordial and coke.
I stopped drinking alcohol ages ago after a new years where i got so wasted i couldnt walk home then the next day had my appendix out haha. I find id rather not have it now, you learn to have fun without it and bonus is you wake up the next day feelin awesome. Besides its no fun trying to get your gear on with a fosters flop. ;) |
Jack Daniels
Johnny Walker black + Chivas Few of my favourite drops, drink all straight on the rocks mixing is blasphemous. |
I am getting old. Gone are the days where alcohol enhanced my socialising abilities. These days I feel myself getting 'messy' if I have to much to drink. hehe
|
I drink Guinness almost exclusively now when I got out, I got onto it cause I wanted something to slow me down. Hasn't really worked but I do love the taste. I usually do about 6-7 pints and I'm full then onto the rums. Try a Guinness with a shot of rum in it (called a Black & Tan) - gets you all toasty warm :) I've also been drinking a lot of Irish Mist lately and my Bushmills 10yr old single malt to top of the evening. |
I hate spirits except in yummy c***tail form.that's just a little bit gay, orbs c'mon tell me a good c***tail mixing party isn't fun? |
