Gummy Bears. i loved all their tunnels and shiz |
Cities of gold ftw!
Who didnt want those medallions and the flying condor! |
Cities of gold ftw! i have the whole thing as divx |
apart from the ones already mentioned, i would have to say technoman.. it was an anime on the big breakfast years ago.. and also x-men animated series
|
Rocko's Modern Life was alright. I think that was an aussie one cos rocko was a wallaby?
I'd love to get a few series' of transformers on DVD if they were available. For free or hire of course ;) I watched some he-man a few years ago - it was rubbish - don't ruin your childhood memories by going back there. I liked how the 80's cartoons were full of guys built like arnie and chicks built like pam anderson who were always in bikinis. He-man is the best example of this. Then things were gay with "political correctness". All the cartoons now are wimpy - no wonder there's so many emos around - can't blame em after being exposed to such pussy influences during childhood. Even X-men - the original cartoon series was the bomb, then they brought up some gayed up one where everyone was all weedy and skinny n s***, and they never even beat anyone up! |
I cant remeber the exact name, but I think it was called Star Blazers or something like that. I could very well be wrong but I remember it had a cool theme.
|
swat cats. hell yes, how f*****g cool was that plane |
Marine Boy & Kimba The White Lion
btw i finished grade 7 in 1999 if that helps lol, I finished grade 10 in 1984 |
ABC:
Astroboy Battle of the Planets (yay the fiery phoenix!) Star Blazers (yay the argo and the wave motion gun!) Saturday morning: Transformers Robotech would have been ok if it didn't have Min May sing through most of the episodes... last edited by Predator at 12:40:46 22/Nov/06 |
I feel old now thinking "man our cartoons rocked over the new s*** that's out". Couldnt agree more... |
^ Chick-err-reee Demon! hell yes!!
Also Banana Splits (had some cool cartoon segments just so as to qualify) |
astroboy - wicked. Going back even further - what about the sooty and sweep show (puppets not cartoon) - i used to love that - maybe its a little girl thing.
|
victor and hugo, pinky and the brain.. haha classic
i think this generation of cartoons that are out now are great for the audience... its just that their attention spans are alot shorter? |
Robotech
GI Joe Transformers Silverhawks Galaxy Rangers MASK Xmen Astroboy (ABC) Superted (ABC) Thundercats ... and there was another show, with guys that had cool stuff that attached to their suits. Blue was for air, yellow for ground & green for something else. Can't for the life of me think of it's name though. I was an 80's/early 90's kid though so it's a good chance that only over 20's will know some of those shows :p |
holy crap mr wolf i was trying to remember the name of it before
f*** that was the coolest show ever, green was for water they had that space station that would beam down different equipment that connected to their suits last edited by paveway at 14:35:02 22/Nov/06 |

Gigantor
Kimba the White Lion Looney tunes Spiderman Clutch Cargo (with the crazy real life lips on the carton faces)..that one scared the s*** out of me!) |
centurions were cool

popeye uhg uhg uhg
I just like his ramblings to himself. |
Bananaman
Cities of Gold Count Duckula Also, anyone notice that the mole at the end of The Incredibles looks remarkably like the mole from bananaman? |
the narrator/dodgily improvised script for spc was great. i watched some of the original episodes in jap with subs and they were kinda crappy in comparison hehe |
love the jab at the TMNT
but that was about 1/4 the cartoon of the teenage mutant ninja turtles they were the s***. |
i got one..just dont know name of it..
main character kinda looks like he-man, rides on dragon or creatue of some kind has a goblin or orc as sidekick and a chick partner. The main also had a weapon like darth mauls dual light sabre.. anyone know what im talking bout? it's old like thundercats era.. |
Tintin, Superted, Bananaman and Bangers and Mash are all standouts of my childhood. I remember the greatest hour during the week was superted followed by Tintin.
