I went to Brisbane State High from 1995 to 1997
Then I went to Yeronga State High in 1997 and last a year

Schoolfriends.com.au sucks, as I can't even find people who hated me, let alone people who liked me on that site.

I want to catch up with a bunch of people I went to school with, but none of them are even in the white pages.

Before graduation our grade wacalled for an assembly. Apparently glass had been thrown into the Villa pool and the letters SLC painted on their roof. Never did find out who did it.

The Camp Hill High v Claire Vaux footy fight on the first match of the, what was to be televised, Commonwealth Cup. :)

My grade 8 form teacher, who was also one of the school priests, was forced to leave the school two years later for allegations of being a pedophile back at his old parish. He was one seedy looking motherf*****, no one was surprised.

Things that happened when I was at school.

88 seniors started the tradition of Running man (lasted about 3 years until the school caught on to it). The dead 15 (15 most hated students by seniors) were taken down the back stripped to their jocks and told to try and make it back to their dorms, meanwhile a bunch of senior stood around the school with various sporting equipment to make it interesting (ie. cricket bats, stumps, golf clubs)

88-90 Chester the Molestor (turned out to be a teacher from churchie) started creeping into our dorms at night and "touching" kids. It took us 3 years before the staff believed us, and that was only becuase one of our teachers (Bill Ahern) caught the mofo sneaking out of our dorm 1 night. For 3 year most of us slept with weapons in our bed.

1989 Seniors directed peak hour traffic through the college with detour signs (best prank ever)
1990. Senior died of brain cancer (Sam Sciaca's son).
1991. Senior killed himself becuase he was only probably going to get a 950 or so (jumped off the gateway bridge).
1991. Senior ODed on caffiene pills at speach night.
1992. A senior decided to hang himself with electrical cord after getting drunk and admitting he was gay.
1992. A bloody year 9 student had the hide to play in the first 15!!!! (Elton Flatly)
1992. As seniors we through what we thought was an empty 48 gallon drum on a bonfire ... it went bang! Luckily we had all taken off to go beat up the junior kids in the junior dorms.

1988. 1 of the year 8 went crazy stockpiled about 40 rolls of dunny paper in his locker and spent all his day sharpening his sciccors, until one day he lost it and started chasing people around with them. He got to go to a nice facility with padded walls after he threw the sciccors at Terry Sullivan (Now member of parliment)

Lots of other really stupid s*** I won't mention becuase it was mainly stupid.

i remember a senior farted in our 1000 strong weekly assembly, and it echoed through the building with only deathly silence as competition.

Yeah 990 was max, from memory his 2 sisters were 990 students.

The sad part is when you are at school, if your parents spend all their time tellign you how important it is to be academically successful .. somekdis end up believing them.

Then in 10 or so years you find out it really doesn't matter 1 little bit, and you should have spent your time learning useful stuff,and having fun.
