Hey guys,

After much discussion, information, research and rage, the Thermaltake eSPORTS league has finaly had dates, venues and time confirmed!

The competition is set to kick off in September the 4th in Sydney and the City Hunter Café and travel all around the country, returning to Sydney again on october the 30th for the finals.

For more information on the league and to view the hot sponsors, head over to this link: http://www.netgameradio.com/news/gamingnews/thermaltake-esports-re-announces-their-css-league

Remember, if you have any information or questions about the league, either direct them the the head organiser Jaytee on here, or add his MSN: jaytee@sogc.org.au.

To try and 'mix up' the style of CS:S Competition in Australia, Thermtaltake have decided to trial a new ruleset, it is as follows;

* Round Time: 1 minute, 30 seconds
* Starting Buy Time: 10 seconds
* Starting Funds: $10,000.00
* C4 Timer: 35 seconds
* Matches are played in two 9-round halves. A match is deemed completed when one team wins 10 rounds.

The events head organiser Johnathan Tiong had this to say about the ruleset "We've tried to aim for the perfect balance of hard, fast-paced action and strategic, combat... with the first to 10 wins, matches are quick, but still long enough for turn-arounds and major upsets. The starting funds give enough money to the teams... with just the right amount of risk if they happen to step wrong with their strategy. All of this is designed to make matches quick, exciting, and fun to watch AND play for everyone involved in the league." (For the full speil, check out the netGameRadio news topic)

Remember, Challenge is the game!

haha, that concern has been mentioned and addresses sc00bs.

This is just a slightly different way of doing things ie, if you decide to 'buy up' in the 1st round and get your m4/armour. If you stuff up the round, you have to go back to SMG or pistol :)
