Came across this resource a couple of days ago.

Not all the cams work, but some good ones in there.

Also, can any one tell me what this tornado looking thing is? From redcliffe cam about 4:30pm to 4:50pm

Phooks, you lost my a mere minute. Also your image wasn't working in the other thread. Storm has passed over Brisbane, though they are forecast to affect Maroochydore, Cleveland, Redcliffe, Caboolture and Caloundra by 5:20 pm and the area southwest of Caloundra, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach by 5:50 pm.

Always keep an eye on the radar and warnings this storm season too.

Some photos from Taringa, not really much:

The 'torando' thing in that cam is a shelf cloud [It's at the storm front] and the left half of the picture around the horizon is just raincloud/rain.
What's seen Is the cold air forcing the warmer air to rise over the top.
[edit[] I assume you are meaning the long cloud that passes over the cam at 5pm

If you see a wall cloud [Seen behind the storm front] it's when you hide:

yeah, I was talking about the thing that sort of sticks out of the shelf cloud in the shape of a V. moves from the middle right to the left and kinda looks like its spinning.

The question mark the part you are talking about?
If so that's rain/rain cloud.

Aside from finding storms (+ extreme weather) fascinating and flying where some basic knowledge of weather and clouds is handy to know, I'm not going to purport to being an expert so for what it's worth the other odd looking thing I marked I think is a scud cloud.

Basically a saturated cloud that has fallen out of the updraft and sits underneath a storm a cell, it seems to get pulled back up later on in the sequence or dissipates.
Given the shelf cloud that comes later it's probably a good indication its just a scud cloud. But again, I'm no expert.

Nope,

Centre of the screen, about 2/3rds down just around the light pole. If you look at the images in succession it looks like its twisting. Although its quite similar to the scud cloud you're mentioning before, It seems to be part of the shelf cloud.

Good question I didn't see it until you pointed it out, I do not know for certain.
It does look like it's rotating in the video but since the frames are 2 minutes apart it could just be the way its forming/dissipating.

The larger part is most certainly a typical shelf cloud so the entire cell is unlikely to produce a tornado.

And it was of significant depth too, was able to sink a beer three quarters into it (may as well make use of all that ice!)

Looks like James Squire - Amber Ale, which is a pretty nice drop and brewed just down the road from me.

I woke up last night because the rain was so heavy, but I dont think there was any hail down here.

Intense hail out my way yesterday (Coomera), got a video of it:

And the sunset wasn't this vibrant, but the camera saw something pretty amazing, even with fairly default settings:
