Two things help propel the HyperX Alloy Origins to greatness – the solid metallic build, and the new HyperX Switches.

Optical is clearly the new trend for mouse and keyboard switches, and by offering the choice of wired or wireless (that performs as though it’s wired) mouse configurations for right-handed and left-handed users, Razer has delivered a killer gaming mouse.

Without any remastering or touching up done on the visuals, not including the best looking and best sounding versions of these games is baffling.

Perhaps if SEGA chose to remaster and re-release the first two GameCube titles, which defined and perfected the core Super Monkey Ball formula - before it’s slow dive into obscurity thanks to Banana Blitz and other titles - we’d be hailing this as a minor masterpiece.

The Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition is a keyboard that I instantly miss when I forget to plug it in during a session of competitive gaming. The increasingly minimal readjustment to the shorter actuation points are absolutely worth the initial pains of erroneous keystrokes.

I always approach 'new' as a good thing. For decades I've respected Kojima as an auteur, a bold paradigm pusher who perhaps goes a bit too loopy and lengthy with his dialogue. But even with those concessions in place, my pioneering enthusiasm was soon crushed under the weight of what is a ludicrously slow-burn, slog of a game...

Review by Steve Farrelly @ 29th October, 2019
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is marred only by its ease-of-play and its controls (or lack of variant control options), but is still more-than-playable. It is easily the most progressively designed game Nintendo has made from a tech perspective, while its visual design, comedic writing and overall charm scream “classic Nintendo”...

The lack of bass amplifies the crisp and almost sharp sound given to the higher frequencies. For surround sound this approach makes directional audio and speech easy to hear and impressive but lacks the presence and warmth that a ground shaking explosion can bring.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was excellent, and although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare doesn’t quite reach those same heights, it’s still a very enjoyable game. Its biggest downfall is the broken state of Special Ops in its current iteration, and the move back to kill streaks in multiplayer is a strange change of direction...

My son asked while I was playing “why don’t you just crash the bus, or drive it faster, or go anywhere other than the stop you’re supposed to?” -- all good questions at the age of seven. The truth is, I just want to be a good bus driver...

With the passing of Harold Ramis in 2014, this game represents the last time a legendary comedy quartet stood (virtually or otherwise) in one another's presence. Being allowed to fill the boots of a mute rookie assigned to bust ghosts in their midst is worth the budget asking price.
