inFAMOUS Review (Score: 6.9/10)
PS3
Review by Steve Farrelly @ 27th May, 2009
inFAMOUS arrives as a PlayStation 3 exclusive that offers up a very mixed bag of gameplay wrought with frustration and fun. Unfortunately the latter comes in very small doses while the former reigns most of the experience supreme. Marred by dated visuals and unbelievably bad AI, inFAMOUS might actually be forgotten a lot sooner than its namesake would have you believe...

An unfortunate example of why the videogame movie license stigma still exists. How can such a revered, iconic cult universe be left behind so far in the world of videogames? The mind boggles and makes us think we deserve the impending apocalypse of the machines...

More zombies for the undead lovers out there to interact with. This time on Xbox Live Arcade, wrangling them up with a host of tools and goodies. But have we overexposed ourselves to their brain-craving ways?

The second Fable 2 downloadable content pack once again gives players more dungeons to crawl through, unique items to collect and quests to accept. Does it expand the game as completely as it should though....

Review by Steve Farrelly @ 12th May, 2009
The popular Buzz quiz game gets the Aussie treatment with a slightly more skewed Oz tint to the overall questions. Once again headed by Buzz himself, there's a decidedly tongue-in-cheek feel to this one since the voice of Buzz is good old Jason Donavan...

The classic Rare platforming sequel, Banjo-Tooie, has landed on the Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox Live Arcade, and is as good as ever thanks to a HD upscaling, the inclusion of Achievements and Leaderboards and a prefectly intact play experience...

Really - is there anything wrong with the tried and true method of using a hair brush and mirror? Well apparently in today’s modern age people demand more ways to get across their lack of singing ability. Luckily many take the SingStar path rather than trying out for Australian Idol...

The final chapter in the planned three downloadable episodes for Fallout 3, Broken Steel, expands the level cap 30 and allows players to re-exist in the Capital Wasteland. Does it expand upon every decision you made in the game from the start? Unfortunately no, but there's plenty of dynamic afterthought to digest nonetheless...

Wolverine packs a serious and bloody for the first furious time in a videogame, and it's an event long overdue. Following in much of the story footsteps of the major motion picture, X-Men Origins: Wolverine unashamedly delivers a bloody action experience, but is also somewhat mindless as a result...

At its heart, Galactrix retains the match three puzzle core that the PuzzleQuest branding demands. But because it is a “space” game, Infinite Interactive wanted a feeling of zero gravity So the hex gem match three game was born.

This free-to-play MMO offers a variety of familiar RPG elements in the online realm without the major hit to your bank account. In squeezing the Resistance experience into the PSP hand-held, Sony Bend was faced with a markedly different design challenge to Insomniac’s task in creating the PS3 original. Whereas Resistance: Fall of Man was designed to show off the rendering potential of Sony‘s flagship console, Retribution's mission is one of deception. Not only must it work within the limitations of the PSP, it must also deliver an experience that bares a passing resemblance to its forbearer...

Review by Steve Farrelly @ 15th April, 2009
Vin Diesel stars as the Wheelman, an undercover agent infiltrating the seedy underworld of Barcelona, Spain. As a wheelman, Diesel must perform getaways, escorts, chases and where necessary, severe car combat. A massive game-world with plenty of vehicular-centric level design makes this an enjoyable romp, it just suffers from focusing heavily on one main aspect...

The latest instalment in the popular movie quiz series offers even more clips and up-to-date questions about your favourite films, actors and genres. Unfortunately a lack of serious challenge and true customisation keeps this product from being as good as it could be. If you like showing off your movie knowledge prowess, however, you're going to enjoy this...
