After Almost 6 Months I Finally Finished Red Dead Redemption 2
Review by James Cottee @ 21st June, 2010
Kojima has boasted that Peace Walker has hundreds of hours of gameplay, and we doubt he’s bluffing - this is one of the best games ever made for the PSP.

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake is a value add transition from PSN to PSP, and while the accuracy of the controls can sometimes cause frustration as your warrior plummets to an untimely death, or struggles to land a hit (despite the lock-on), this a short-lived bedevilment as you will soon be back in the action.

ModNation Racers Review (Score: 5.5/10)
PSP
Review by James Cottee @ 10th June, 2010
ModNation Racers is no LittleBigPlanet – the scope of customisation it offers is ultimately quite limited. You can radically alter the appearance of your racer, by adding clothes, textures, accessories, and novelty eyes and ears, but none of this affects how the game actually plays.

UFC Undisputed 2010 is a real solid game that I really enjoyed; to me it was a mixture of the WWE Smackdown series and the Fight Nights games, both great franchises.

Blur is a hectic, super stylish racer that is loads of fun. It's part Mario Kart, part Burnout and part Modern Warfare. What more could you want from a racing game?

Review by James Cottee @ 2nd June, 2010
NIER was clearly created to be enjoyed by those freaky Japanese shut-ins who never leave their rooms, both because it offers a fantastical, sexy proxy for the human experience, and because it represents tremendous value for money. You could play this game for months.

So for an arcade game, immediate impression is king, and with that numerous other aspects like depth and replay-ability take a back seat to hooking people in for a few minutes of fun. Sega knows this, and that's why their arcade output has been without peer for many years...

In many ways, the Prince of Persia series is the quintessential example of how videogaming has progressed over the years. From 2D, turban filled platforming of the late eighties to the 3D enemy-laden world of 2010, but still retaining the recognisable elements that made the original such a hit...

The latest game from local developer Infinite Interactive continues to sport the Puzzle moniker as well as much of its forebears flavour, but drops any pretence of ‘turn-based’ game-play.

Red Dead Redemption is by far the best open-world game to come along in a long time and has set itself as the standard by which all should follow. It's by no means the perfect game, but the sum of its emergent, engaging parts craft an experience like no other. It's also easily the most visually appealing game-world you'll have ever laid eyes on. Simply a must-buy...

Alan Wake Review (Score: 7.9/10)

Review by Steve Farrelly @ 12th May, 2010
When Remedy pitched Alan Wake as something of a television series handed to player's in episodic form, they weren't kidding. The game takes many cues from various films and TV series of the past; the kind that have reached plateaus of pure pop-culture benchmarks, and I'd be remiss to not mention the likes of Twin Peaks, X-Files, The Shining or even Evil Dead...

Whilst SSFIV doesn't technically broach any new ground per se, the improvements in multiplayer functionality alone provide reason enough to purchase this version. The extra characters, Ultra's and the inclusion of classic SFII Bonus Rounds are just the icing on the proverbial cake that is the best fighter around...

What do you do whilst waiting for Diablo 3? Probably pick up Torchlight actually. But if you are in the market for some Diabloesque lite action, then perhaps Din’s Curse is the answer.
