Things have been pretty quiet in the news department over the last few days, and we're not sure its going to get that much better as all the publishers start hording everything they have to announce it all in one phat mass of game information overload at next months annual E3 expo in LA.

This years E3 will be the first year that AusGamers will be sending someone to cover all the proceedings from a uniquely Australian perspective, offering the information we are interested in here, together with enough news to boggle your mind!

Due to our current work commitments here, we have decided to send Gobo over to cover all things E3 for AusGamers (hes flying United, omg!), for those of you that dont remember Gobo, (which is understandable cause he sucks at RA) he worked on gameloft.com.au with qgl's own Storm, who went off to be a product manager for Ubisoft.

So far AusGamers is the only AU based website that will have a presence at E3, and we are trying our best to line up lots of things with the publishers that you will be interested in. But, more on that from Gobo at some stage before he leaves for the US.

The only places you can read ausgamers news is on AusGamers or on a Ausgamers lan site, such as qgl/mpu/shafted, which will also contain location specific information and news.

probably are but their primary interest will be what they can put in their mags. You too can get to read something 2 months later that you've already read on AusGamers.com!

The internet is crazy, who would be in the mag game now

I prefer magazines for the reviews and hardware stuff, personally I don't care for the news bits - that's what the internet is for.

heh your not bursting my bubble, they are mags, we exist purely online, in that unless you have access to a computer you cant read our content.

Hyper is also a mag, part of the current gameing monopoly held in print by Next publishing. Would sure be nice to offer something in competition, but anyway, no my point.

So, sorry to burst your bubble

Well, 800+ hits in the first 9 days aint bad - considering the site has only been up for about 15 days... I'd say that - yeah - it's a bit rough still - but it's early days yet...

ooooh flamed pretty good mate. :) It isn't hard to do a bit with your site to make it slightly more easy to follow, even if it is still hell basic, it could be easier to get through all that crap :)

Get over it. At least they've created a website. I see a lot of you saying you could do better but claim you can't be bothered.

I've always been pretty curious about this. Say you've got 3k to spend on a camera equipments etc.. You could get a SONY dc707 (or whatever the name is) for about 3k and that does about 2000+ resolution.

The other option is to spend say 2k on a semi-professional SLR camera, and another 1k on a professional negative/flatbed scanner. And i've been told not only is the resolution better but so is the quality.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Heh, afaik, digitals are convenience for than anything :p

SLR's still hold the edge for professional quality. Digicams are for convienece. [rhetorical]If digicams were better, why do all professional photographers use SLR's?![/rhetorical]
