Apex Legends Revelry is the next season and instead of introducing a new playable Legend, the team at Respawn is taking the time to shake things up and dig into the existing roster whilst introducing a brand-new mode. As per the headline, it's a classic Team Deathmatch Mode that will become part of the new Mixtape playlist.

Which will rotate between Team Deathmatch, Gun Run, and Control. For TDM will squad up and jump into 6v6 battles where a best-of-three-round setup will determine the winners.

And yeah, even though there's no new Legend this time around the game is still getting some major changes. Firstly the roster is being split into "new remastered classes", Assault, Skirmisher, Recon, Controller, and Support. Class-specific perks will add a new distinct flavour to roles and Legends. Plus, there's a brand-new weapon arriving in the form of the Nemesis. A new "energy class assault rifle that fires four rounds per burst" sounds very cool.

Apex Legends is also getting new Orientation Matches designed to teach new players the ropes, where they can team up with friends to take on bots before jumping into a live match.
