Back in the day, reporting on games "going gold" was a highlight event, but in a world of delays and games releasing with hurried Day One patches and the like, it feels like any 'promise' post of "going gold" is almost a risky move. But we appreciate them when they come in from small teams with obscure games that have been baking for lengthy periods of time, which just so happens to be the case with Atomic Heart, which developer Mundfish has excitedly shared has, in fact, "gone gold".

This means the game's updated release date of February 21 stands and that we're actually now less than a month away from fighting killer robots while walking through an alt-history Russia, weapon in hand.

Stay tuned for more as we close in on release.
