From New Zealand devs Black Salt Games, DREDGE is a sandbox fishing adventure game with a Lovecraftian spin on proceedings. Playing to the Great Master's small fishing community tropes while hinting at more than meets the eye below the murky depths, DREDGE's cute and accessible exterior belies an experience with dread and horror written all over it.

And we're in love with every aspect of it so far.

DREDGE is a single-player fishing adventure with a sinister undercurrent. Sell your catch, upgrade your boat, and dredge the depths for long-buried secrets. Explore a mysterious archipelago and discover why some things are best left forgotten.
In the above video the team explores the island settlements of DREDGE while explaining how navigation in the world works, but not before highlighting and hinting at some of the darker elements at play. This is also just the first entry in what will be a series of videos about the game's lore and history, and we can't wait to watch more.

Stay tuned for more as it becomes available.
