The Meta Quest Pro is the latest all-in-one VR headset from Meta and it's out later this month for 2,449.99 AUD. Basically, it's a premium version of the Meta Quest 2 with a new slick design targeting productivity, AR integration, and games, Meta Quest Touch Pro controllers, and innovative features like eye tracking and "Natural Facial Expressions". So your digital avatar can look happy.

And then a little sad, once you realise just how much you spent on a VR headset. Naturally, the cost comes from the Meta Quest Pro being an all-in-one (with PC connectivity available via USB-C). On that front, you’ve got 256GB of storage, 12GB RAM, 10 advanced VR/MR sensors, spatial audio, and the new Snapdragon XR2+ processor. Which has been designed for VR, and delivers “better heat dissipation and significant performance headroom to achieve 50% higher sustained power and 30% improved thermal performance”.

As a productivity device versus a straight-up gaming one, the Meta Quest Pro features full-colour out-facing cameras (with 4 times the pixel count as the Meta Quest 2 cameras) to be able to present your surroundings in crisp detail as well as use them for AR applications. “Stereoscopic mixed reality passthrough” can even translate the environment in 3D. The new Meta Quest Touch Pro controllers are self-tracking and include haptic feedback - a big step up from the mainstream Quest controllers. A stylus tip is also included for sketching, which again, is another productivity-focused feature.

Here are the full specifications.
