Feels like we've been riding a fairly smooth, entry-level friendly wave up until this point, as fas as game releases for each month is concerned. But in October it's a bit different as the wave of anticipation has somehow merged with the wave of "we're done, let's go" and all of a sudden we're Swayze levels of water to climb (and want). Here's what you can look forward to this month in game releases...

October 2022 for games is actually pretty big, but that’s to be expected for the traditional holiday onslaught of games that arrive this time of year. There are some large-in-name releases alongside some delayed debuts on some forgotten (at launch) platforms and, well, just a host of variety too. No Man’s Sky finally rocks Nintendo Switch, which is something of a technical feat.
The brilliant Switch JRPG, Triangle Strategy comes to PC and Sony continues its foray into letting the PC Master Race have at its exclusives with Sackboy: A Big Adventure and the arrival of a little series starring a relatively unknown here - Nathan Drake. As far as big FPS titles go, Blizzard is kicking things off with Overwatch 2 coming October 4, with Call of Duty capping the month off with Infinity Ward’s reimagining of Modern Warfare II...
