Session: Skate Sim's playable skaters roster is now at a very respectable 16, as the final four have just been announced. The likes of Tory Pudwill, Nora Vasconsellos, Samarria Brevard and Ryan Thompson join a huge cast of skaters led by old-school hero Daewon Song.
For those out of the loop, Session: Skate Sim is part of the post-Skate. skateboarding videogame world which also includes the other sim-style outing, Skater XL and is all about true representation of the freedom of expression that is skateboarding, as opposed to the arcade shenanigans of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, represented best here.
Here's the full roster and some words on the game, officially:
Annie Guglia / Antiferg / Beagle / Billy Marks / Daewon Song / Dane Burman / Donovan Strain / Jahmir Brown / Louie Barletta / Manny Santiago / Mark Appleyard / Nora Vasconcellos / Ribs Man / Ryan Thompson / Samarria Brevard / Torey Pudwill
Session invites players to dive into the genuine 1990s skateboarding way of life, when each stretch of pavement and each stairway was a great location for your favourite stunt. The game's ultra-realistic physics bring the sensations of skateboarding to life, and the studio has even integrated ground-breaking gameplay, a first in a skateboarding game: the "True Stance Stick", where each foot is independently managed using the two sticks. With a learning curve that is just as demanding as in real life, players have to practise how to control their board and pull off all the different stunts available in the game, from the simplest to the most complicated. The integrated editing tool lets each player immortalise their greatest achievements on video.
Session: Skate Sim is out on PC and consoles (excluding Switch) this September 22.
