The game formerly known as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has an official title, and it's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Not only that but Nintendo has revealed a release date - mark those calendars for May 12, 2023.

The trailer that accompanied the announcement didn't go into any sort of great detail in terms of story or gameplay, but it does showcase the versatility of the world. And the whole city in the sky deal. It looks pretty awesome, and Tears of the Kingdom is a pretty great title.


The title for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been revealed. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will launch on Nintendo Switch May 12th, 2023.
