Ubisoft has confirmed that the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event this weekend will delve into the future of Assassin's Creed. So far the studio has teased Assassin's Creed Mirage as the next game in the franchise, with the artwork hinting at a return to the first game's setting. And potential stealth focus. Two new reports over at Bloomberg and Try Hard Guides from notable leakers Jason Schreier and Tom Henderson point to a lot more Assassin's Creed coming.

In addition to Mirage there looks to be two new big games, one of which is called code-named Red and set in Japan. A setting that fans of the series have been wanting to see for quite some time, so much so that Sony's own open-world Ghost of Tsushima was viewed as the Japan-set Assassin's Creed that never was. The second big game has the code-name of Hexe, and according to Tom Henderson is "the darkest Assassin’s Creed game ever" and set during "the witch hunt era in 16th century Europe". According to Jason Schreier these two game will be a part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is described as a platform for multiple titles, stories, and settings all connected in some way.

A third title for mobile, set in Chine, is also apparently coming. Which would mean that there are no less than four Assassin's Creed games currently in development across Ubisoft's many studios. No word if we'll see footage or get info on all of these titles during the Ubisoft Forward event, but we should learn more. Stay tuned.
