CD Projekt RED has lifted the lid on the first major expansion coming to Cyberpunk 2077, and it's called Phantom Liberty and due for release sometime in 2023. As per the Patch 1.6 update, we know this will be limited to PC and current-gen platforms (Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5) -- alongside all other new content moving forward. We got our first look at the politically charged expansion in trailer form.

With all footage captured from the PC version, check it out.

I, V, do solemnly swear that I shall faithfully serve the New United States of America.

Get ready for Phantom Liberty — a spy-thriller expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 set in an all new district of Night City. Coming in 2023 to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia.

As per the brief description above Phantom Liberty is described as a spy-thriller and will expand on locations found across Night City - alongside bringing new elements to the game. As per the recent deep dive into the latest patch, we do know that CDPR is overhauling the police system (one of the most criticised elements of the base game) which should add some depth to the action. Also, it's cool to see Keanu Reeves return for the expansion as Johnny Silverhand.
