Samsung Australia confirmed that this beast of a gaming display will be available in Australia "in the coming months". The Samsung Odyssey Ark is definitely a one-of-a-kind display, 55-inch, 1000R curved, 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, created using Samsung's Quantum Matrix Technology.

Mini LED tech that features 14-bit processing. It even comes with a space-age controller called the Ark Dial, and can be rotated a full 90 degrees so you can play in Cockpit Mode. And in a very cool move the display is Matte to reduce glare and reflection. Plus, what Samsung is calling Sound Dome Technology - which includes four corner speakers and two central woofers delivering 60W 2.2.2 channel audio.

“We are excited to unveil this unique, next-generation gaming screen, the Odyssey Ark. This 55-inch 1000R curved gaming screen brings together premium, cinematic picture quality, immersive surround sound and an incredibly flexible interface which gamers increasingly demand,” said Hyesung Ha, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “The gaming community craves new experiences and Odyssey Ark delivers access to a new world of gaming that will raise standards across the entire industry.”

If you're wondering if 55-inches is too big for most PC tasks well, the Flex Move Screen even allows for adjusting the screen size between adjusting screen size between 27 and 55-inches.

Naturally, all of this comes at a cost - an eye-watering $3,500 USD. Local pricing is still to be confirmed, though we're expecting that it'll sit somewhere in the 'astronomical range'. But, you can still register your interest here.
