And I'm not sure it can possibly live up to this
dramatic death of General Pac-Man, or the
emotional scenes that followed featuring Ms. Pac-Man, in the riveting slice of Pac-Life from
Futurama that was
Anthology of Interest II. But either way, and no matter what's going on in the world right now, rest easy because actual money is being spent on making this an actual thing -- a
live-action Pac-Man movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project will be penned by
Chuck Williams who also worked on the more recent
Sonic the Hedgehog live-action stints (natch) featuring
Jim Carrey, with the project to be a joint venture between
Bandai Namco and
Wayfarer Studios (
Clouds).
So yeah, that's all we know at the moment. Now we just need to try and wrap our heads around how exactly this will be setup, and which major star or stars will sell their souls even deeper to be involved.
