Sonic Frontiers is a new open-world Sonic game from SEGA, and the first look at gameplay has arrived courtesy of IGN - with a bigger reveal happening overnight at 2AM here. In the teaser we get to see the Blue One run through a massive and vibrant green environment. One that features a look that definitely leans more into realism and sci-fi versus cartoon.

With rings and rail-riding and lots of speed it definitely looks like a spiritual successor to the Sonic Adventure series from the Dreamcast era - except more modern. It'll definitely be interesting to see a bigger chunk of gameplay and see exactly how this new Sonic game plays. Arriving on the heels of two very successful live action movies no doubt Sonic is in a good place right now, so the timing is perfect.
