F1 22 is the latest entry in the Formula 1 series of games from Codemasters and EA, and it's on track for a July 1 release across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It promises to follow the sport's "biggest shake-up in over a decade" with a redefined race day experience that also includes VR support for PC.

It will also include the new Miami circuit, plus updates to the Australia and Abu Dhabi tracks. F1 Sprint events are coming in addition to overhauled rules and a focus on immersion and broadcast quality presentation.

"We look forward to welcoming our players to the new era of Formula 1," said Lee Mather, F1 Senior Creative Director at Codemasters.

"Alongside the real-world changes, we have updated the physics to accommodate the new aero rules and reworked the tyre model, making the handling more true to life. With new and updated circuits, adaptive AI, 'F1 Life', and expanded gameplay options, there has never been a better time for players to take their seats and live the life of an F1 driver."

F1 Life is the game's new hub system where supercars and other driver cosmetics are shown off. Although no gameplay is shown in the teaser above we should be getting a deep dive soon, which will highlight all of the above.
