YouTube channel 64 Bits has created some pretty impressive demakes, that being games we all know reimagined for old-school platforms. The latest is Mass Effect for the GBA (Game Boy Advance) and a hypothetical game called 'Advance Effect' that blends Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, and Mass Effect to awesome effect.
In the video we get to see the infamous Virmire mission, the pivotal moment in the first Mass Effect for Shepard and co, play out in classic turn-based fashion. The attention to detail here is awesome, from using Biotic powers through to summarising key plot points and action-beats in the style of a GBA title. 'Save Kaiden'... indeed.
Check it out.
Although it's not a full game or even an actual playable thing we'd love to see this expanded into a real thing. Yeah, it's that good.
