"Our goal is to push the envelope of fidelity and to deliver the high quality cinematic action-adventure experience that fans deserve from both Crystal Dynamics and the Tomb Raider franchise."
Unreal Engine 5 is going to power a number of high profile releases, including the next The Witcher game from CD Projekt Red. UE5's ability to render highly detailed environments with realistic lighting is being hailed as ground-breaking. Gears of War studio The Coalition has always made full use of Unreal tech, and put together the following compilation of real-time footage to showcase the advances.
And yeah, these sorts of environments would be amazing to see in a new Tomb Raider.
